global chat connects many different servers and people. in return, we ask that you follow these ground rules:
mild or casual swearing (e.g. fuck, shit, damn) is completely fine as long as you aren't using it to attack or harass another person.
we enforce our rules automatically using a dual-stage safety filter powered by artificial intelligence models. violating these guidelines will result in automatic, escalating timeouts and restrictions across the entire global network (ranging from 1 minute up to 6 hours).
our system also respects local server preferences. if target server owners configure custom rules or filters, our backend will automatically intercept and block matching messages from being delivered to their members.
you must also follow the discord terms of service and community guidelines at all times when participating in the global chat.
the global chat is provided as-is. relayed messages are user-generated, and we make no guarantees about the accuracy, stability, or content of any chat transmissions. use common sense and caution when interacting with other users across the network.
