we care about your privacy and want to be completely transparent about how our global chat system handles your messages and data.
information we collect
to relay your chat messages and keep the global network safe, Ash processes the following information:
message content & attachments: when you type in a global channel, your text is temporarily buffered to run safety scans. if you have been granted media permissions, your uploaded images or gifs are processed too.
relay metadata: we log the association between original message IDs and target webhook message IDs, alongside guild and channel IDs. this is saved in our database to sync replies, edits, and global message deletions.
user & server metadata: to show other servers who sent the message, your display name, profile avatar, and the server's name are relayed along with your chat payload.
moderation records: if you trigger an automated block or progressive restriction, we track your infractions (which decay in 2 hours) to maintain community safety. we also temporarily cache safe/unsafe message verdicts for up to 7 days to keep the chat running fast.
how we use your data
your data is solely used to power the global chat features:
to relay your messages, replies, and attachments to other servers via discord webhooks
to moderate the chat in real-time using artificial intelligence APIs (Google Gemini) to filter slurs, spam, and harassment
to manage restrictions, automated timeouts, and target-server block filters
we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties for advertising or profiling.
third-party processors
messages are analyzed by secure artificial intelligence backends (Google) for automated safety screening. data sent to these endpoints is subject to their respective policies. we do not send personal discord identification (such as tokens or database files) to these APIs:
30-day auto-prune: all persistent relay logs (mappings connecting original messages to target webhooks) are completely and permanently deleted from our database after exactly 30 days.
ban decay: progressive infraction histories naturally decay and clear themselves from our active memory within 2 hours.
disconnecting: if a server owner uses the /leave command, all local channel configurations and stored target filters are wiped immediately.
